When did you first become interested in your position?
As long as I can remember I’ve always had a great love for creative arts. This has taken many forms, from sketching my family’s pets and writing creative fiction late into the night as a child, giving hand lettering and graphic design a try in high school, to painting watercolors and managing social media content for clubs in college. If you asked what my career goals were in high school, I’d happily tell you either graphic design or literary editing.
I started doing contract work for Elegant Peak to tap back into my creative side while pursuing another career path. When a full-time opportunity opened, I was happy to join the team and immerse myself in the creative world of marketing!
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
One of my favorite things to do when not working is to visit Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park. It’s a quick drive from my house (and even quicker from work) and I love to drive up and watch the sunset, read a book, or even meet up with friends all while enjoying the escape to nature and the incredible views!
I also enjoy thrifting, watercolor painting, Shakespeare, and a perfect cup of Barry’s Gold tea.
What is your favorite quote/fun fact about yourself?

It’s easy to fixate on the bad things that happen around us every day, but I firmly believe in the restorative nature of beauty and goodness and that it can be found everywhere. Too often the good things go unnoticed, and we lose sight of the many blessings we have. Therefore, I remind myself each day to look for the beauty in the little things in life to give me hope.
Fun Fact: I’ve seen 21 out of Shakespeare’s 38 plays. One of my life goals is to see all 38!
